5 Things You Should Know Today: August 9
Here's what's happening around town today, Tuesday, August 9.

1. Every Tuesday and Saturday the public is invited to at the right off the farms rows of bushes. Before blueberries are gone for the season, bring your own container for collection or use one of theirs. Pick a pint of blueberries by the pound for $2.75. Also in season and available for purchase at the farm: Apples ( jmacs ),Tomatoes, Field Tomatoes, Broccoli, Lettuce, Summer Squash, Zucchini, Onions, Apricots, Peaches, Cauliflower, Corn, Cucumbers, Cabbage. The Big Apple Farm is open from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
2. The will hold their today to benefit the resident activity fund. The residents of Maples Center will be on hand to judge dogs on the following categories: best costume, best trick, most obedient, friendliest and of course, best in show. There is a $4.00 registration fee per dog. This event, held rain or shine, will begin at 10:30 a.m. For more information, please call the Maples Center at: 508-384-7977.
3. Seniors are invited to play every Tuesday at the Wrentham Senior Center from 9am to 11am at the cost of $1.

4. The White Barn Farm will be open today from 3pm - 7pm offering an array of seasonal vegetables grown right at the Farm.
