Wrentham Opens In-Person Registration Ahead Of State Primary

WRENTHAM, MA — Wrentham residents will have an in-person opportunity this month to register for the upcoming state primary.

A registration session will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, in the Town Clerk's Office on the second floor of Town Hall, 79 South St. The session is open to eligible residents who are not registered, including those who will turn 18 by the Sept. 1 primary.

Residents may also register online through 11:59 p.m. Aug. 22 using the Massachusetts online voter registration system. The deadline also applies to voters updating their registration or changing their party enrollment.

Massachusetts residents may register if they are U.S. citizens, meet the age requirement and are not incarcerated for a felony conviction. Residents ages 16 and 17 may preregister.

Massachusetts Primary

The statewide primary will be held Tuesday, Sept. 1, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Early voting will run from Aug. 22 through Aug. 28.

Voters who are not enrolled in a political party may choose either a Democratic or Republican primary ballot without changing their enrollment. Voters registered with a party may vote only in that party's primary.
