Carroll Takes Wrentham Selectmen Race
Michael Carroll will join Wrentham Board of Selectmen.
Michael Carroll won a seat on the Wrentham Board of Selectmen during Monday's election.
Carroll defeated fellow candidate Mary Dunn by a 763-322 tally.
After the votes were counted, Carroll said he thought the race would be very close.

"Mary knows a lot of people and strong experience on the board," he said. "I was concerned."
He said he would be looking to build relationships on the board.

"I'm going to be joining a board with four people who already have a working relationship," he said. "I have a lot of ideas, but I'm going to introduce them slowly."
Dunn said she believed the low election turnout affected the result.
"The town didn't advertise that there was an election," she said, adding that some people were unaware an election was taking place. "It is what it is."
She said she believed Carroll would serve the town well.
