At the next Town Meeting on June 6, 2011 one Article for consideration will be to adopt "Stretch" building codes.

Stretch codes require that new homes and new commercial buildings be constructed using methods that result in 20% energy savings, compared to current building codes.  To date, 67 Massachusetts communities have adopted stretch codes.

Tonight there will be a workshop at the Senior Center at 7PM to help you gain a better understanding of stretch codes.  Plainville residents and builders are welcome to attend.  The workshop will also be televised on Cable Channel 8.
