The destination is Sachuest Point, a national Wildlife Refuge just east of Newport, RI. The "Point" is comprised of several hundred acres of managed habitats, mostly shrublands, and ocean-side trails which offer continuous views of sea ducks. We will see waterfowl species, including the colorful Harlequin Duck, scoters and eiders. Carpool from Stony Brook where we will pick up our car-to-car radios. Bring lunch and boots, and dress for the weather!
