Former King Philip Standout RIcco Earns Win for George Washington University
Wrentham's Meg Ricco is starting on the mound for the George Washington University women's softball team.

Wrentham's Meghan Rico is making an immediate impression for the George Washington University women's softball team.
The freshman right-handed pitcher improved to 4-5 on the year as her team beat Seaton Hall, 10-2, in the nightcap of a doubleheader. The Colonials lost the opener, 3-2. The Colonials are 6-11 on the year.

Ricco allowed two runs on two hits and four walks in four innings of work. The freshman has started 10 games and appeared in two others as a reliever. Opponents are batting .275 against her and she has 43 strikeouts in 51 innings.
She is planning on majoring in exercise science/pre-med.

At King Philip, she was the Hockomock League MVP as a junior and senior, leading the Warriors to back-to-back state times in 2010 and 2011. Ricco also had four perfect games and eight no-hitters.
