Wrentham's Meghan Rico is making an immediate impression for the George Washington University women's softball team. The freshman right-handed pitcher improved to 4-5 on the year as her team beat Seaton Hall, 10-2, in the nightcap of a doubleheader. The Colonials lost the opener, 3-2. The Colonials are 6-11 on the year.  Ricco allowed two runs on two hits and four walks in four innings of work. The freshman has started 10 games and appeared in two others as a reliever. Opponents are batting .275 against her and she has 43 strikeouts in 51 innings.  She is planning on majoring in exercise science/pre-med. At King Philip, she was the Hockomock League MVP as a junior and senior, leading the Warriors to back-to-back state times in 2010 and 2011. Ricco also had four perfect games and eight no-hitters.
