Franklin Man Fatally Struck on I-495

Police say the man was struck early Sunday morning.

Franklin, MA — A Franklin man is dead after getting struck on Interstate 495 in Franklin, state police said.

Police say the man was struck at about 12:22 a.m. Sunday morning. A preliminary investigation by the Massachusetts State Police indicated that the pedestrian, identified as Anthony Santucci, 41 of Franklin, was in the middle travel lane when he was hit by a Honda traveling in the same lane.

The operator of the motor vehicle, a 32–year-old female from Cumberland, RI, stayed at the scene.

The right and middle travel lanes were reopened at approximately 3:58 a.m.

This crash is being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police. No charges have been filed at this time.
