Humble Warrior Yoga Studio Opens in Wrentham

New business opened its doors in early December.

A new business — the Humble Warrior Yoga Studio — is celebrating its third week in the center of Wrentham.

Business owner Lauren DAngelo Cocuzzo said the studio had its grand opening on Dec. 3.

"We've been focusing mainly on Vinyasa flow yoga," she said. "Vinyasa is like cardio — there's strength training and a focus on mind and body."

She said the center also offers "Relax and Renew" classes.

"Relax and renew is more about replenishing the body," she said. "It's less about movement and more about opening up the body."

Cocuzzo, one of 12 instructors on staff, said she had been practicing yoga for about eight years.

"I got my 100-hour certification last October, and I'm in school for my 300-hour certification," she said. "I'll graduate from that in May."

She said there is a definite benefit to having several yoga teachers available.

"They all have different backgrounds in yoga," she said. "It's important to have different instructors, because you get different things from each of them."

The studio offers classes throughout the week, including 8am classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Cocuzzo said she was examining the possibility of a 7am class, to serve the needs of commuters in town.

She said the studio opened late in the year for a reaon.

"Our hope was to get people who are making New Year's resolutions," she said. "We've gotten a lot of positive feedback since we've opened."
