Robeson said the board had accomplished much during her tenure.

"For the first time in many years, we've had [committee] retreats β€” those were very productive," she said. "Everyone's contracts are done."

She added that she tries to keep the meetings moving quickly to ensure a reasonable ending time.

Francomano said he was concerned about the board's organization.

"There's a lot on our plate, and we need to run in a efficient manner," he said. "I think we need to be better prepared, so we do not have to spend as much time as we do discussing things."

Francomano said the board can fall behind on business.

"Just the fact that we're doing the reorganization now β€” at the end of August β€” when it's called for in our bylaws for the first meeting in May β€” there's no excuse," he said. "I don't think it serves us well if we're continually ignoring processes."

Francomano was elected chairman, and Robeson was picked for the vice-chairwoman position.
