Beam Details Knob Creek Smoked Maple Launch
Beam’s Knob Creek Bourbon has offered more detail on the upcoming launch of its new Smoked Maple expression, which SND first covered in June. Set to begin rolling out in September—initially in control states—the 90-proof flavored Bourbon is expected to achieve nationwide distribution before the holiday season, according to Jim Beam master distiller Fred Noe. The super-premium expression, which will be priced at around $31 a 750-ml., will be backed by both an on- and off-premise push, targeting cocktail, after-dinner and dessert occasions. Although no additional flavors are currently in the works, Noe told SND the brand would consider growing its flavor stable should Smoked Maple replicate the success of Knob Creek’s thriving Rye expression.
