Plainville's Renner Earns PGA Tour Card

Plainville's Jim Renner will eligible to compete on the PGA Tour in October after earning a spot after finishing 17th on Web.tour.com's money list.
Renner, who attended Bishop Feehan, earned $75,000 in the regular season. He will now be competing in the Web.tour.com playoffs.
In the last tournament, the Cox Classic in Omaha, NE., Renner tied for 30th after shooting a 67 in his final round Sunday. Renner's best finish was second at the Colombia Championships, March 3. He made 10 tournament cuts and missed nine with four top 10 finishes.
