Police Enhance Black Friday and Holiday Shopping Security
Increased presence will include uniformed officers with long guns; undercover officers who are trained in behavioral observation techniques.

The Wrentham Police recently announced they will enhance Black Friday security in response to the terror attacks in Paris and general warnings from the U.S. State Department.
Security at the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, Mass., will be significantly enhanced for the Black Friday weekend and throughout the entire holiday season, according to Wrentham Police.

“Though there has been no specific threat toward the Wrentham Premium Outlet Mall, we intend to be proactive and vigilant in our mission to keep the public safe,” police posted on Facebook. “The Wrentham Village Premium Outlet is unique in this region compared to other malls because it is recognized as an international travel and tourist destination.”
The increased presence will include uniformed officers with long guns, undercover officers who are trained in behavioral observation techniques, officers with K9 trained to detect explosives, an elevated security observation tower, surveillance cameras and other measures that will be conducted behind the scene and not disclosed to the public, according to authorities.

“The Wrentham Police Department and mall owners, The Simon Property Group, are strong partners, deeply committed to provide the safest possible shopping environment for all of our guests,” police posted. “As always, the public is urged to practice “See Something, Say Something” when they visit Wrentham or any other destination.”
In Braintree, the general manager said they have extra security, but not because of any credible threats, according to 7News/whdh.com.
