School Committee Gives Wrentham Superintendent of Schools A+
Wrentham superintended of schools Jeffrey Marsden gets high marks from the committee. Marsden is a finalist for the Medfield superintendent position.

Wrenthamβs superintendent receivedΒ high marks for the 2012 year.
The Wrentham School Committee rated superintendent Jeffrey Marsdenβs performance for the 2012-2013 school year and gave him a 6.7 out of 7 rating for the year. Marsden is one of three finalists for the Medfield superintendent's position.
βI think he does a fantastic job,β said school committee member Lynn Desrochers. βIt was actually very easy to go through this. It was hard not to give all sevens, but realizing that nobodyβs perfect, I think a 6.7 is as high as you can get.β

Committee members had much praise for Marsden and what he brought to the district during his tenure in Wrentham.
βI think the overall rating reflects what heβs brought to the district,β school committee member Tracey Murphy said. βJust the overall quality of the staff and parent participation and what happens in this school district is amazing.Β Curriculum changes, staff changes and progressive thinking have become the norm here, and thatβs huge.β

School committee chair Edward Goddard said Marsden was very well disposed to βkeep the staff on their toes.β He said changing the curriculum and teaching methods was a great way to get the faculty change gradually without causing disruptions.
βIt gives a renewed enthusiasm for teaching when youβre not teaching the same way year after year after year,β said Goddard.
The committee also praised Marsdenβs ability to talk to them and make them aware of the issues affecting the district and community as a whole.
βThereβs no gap between the committee and you, you and your administrators and thatβs a sterling recommendation for you,β Goddard said to Marsden.
Marsden thanked the committee for their positive feedback, but said it was not just him working to improve the district.
βI really appreciate the work the teachers, principals and everyone thatβs working here in the office staff,β he said. βItβs really a wonderful team and everyone has a part in this.β
Marsden added the committee and community should continue to give him as much feedback as possible to help him improve the education of Wrenthamβs children.
βI appreciate the feedback,β he said.Β βA lot of times in this job you donβt get a lot of feedback and sometimes the feedback you get is negative.Β Iβll continue to work hard and do what I can for the community.β
