Video: Discussion of Zoning Article at Town Meeting

The topic at last Monday's Special Town Meeting that drew the most debate was a provision that would in certain business zones.

Proponents said the measure would stimulate the development of the land opposite the Wrentham Premium Outlets. According to Town Planner Paige Duncan, prospective tenants of the property had expressed concern about the alleyways that would divide the smaller buildings.

Opponents, though, said they feared the move would bring a big box store to the town, and that the effects of the change would not be as limited as proponents claimed.

Those present decided to approve the amendment.
