Wrentham Police: $100K Burglary Ring Busted

Wrentham police said they busted a burglary ring responsible for stealing over $100,000 worth of equipment.

WRENTHAM, MA — Wrentham police on Wednesday said they broke up a burglary ring responsible for stealing over $100,000 of equipment.

Arrested were:

  • Vasilios Alexopoulos, 35, of Randolph (shown above at left)
  • William Colleary, 40, of Wareham (center)
  • Adam Grant, 32, of Wareham (right)

They were charged with conspiracy and larceny.

Police said they stole about $14,000 worth of equipment from Norfolk Power Equipment in Wrentham on Jan. 8.

"An extensive investigation conducted by Wrentham Detective Bob O'Connell began with evidence that implicated the suspects in the Norfolk Power Company crime and continued to uncover evidence of involvement in several similar crimes in other communities," police said in a statement. "The suspects are believed to be responsible for over $100,000 of stolen equipment from several locations."

Police said they believe the trio committed numerous thefts in the South Shore area.
