Wrentham's Palioca Makes Cape Cod League Debut
The junior righthander out of Wheaton College and King Philip graduate, Alec Palioca pitched a third of an inning as Cotuit defeated Falmouth, 7-1.

Wrentham's Alec Palioca made his Cape Cod League debut as a reliever for Cotuit Kettleers in their 7-1 win over Falmouth to improve to 3-1 on the season.
A Wheaton College standout, Palioca was signed as a temporary player for Cotuit and he is also on the roster of the Brockton Rox of the New England Futures Collegiate Baseball League. Palioca pitched a third of inning in first appearance in the Cape Cod League
His Wheaton College teammate Ryan Grant from Easton is also a temporary player and pitched one inning in relief without giving up a run.

Both Palioca and Grant are hoping to stay in the Cape Cod League this summer. Grant is on the North Shore Navigators roster in the New England Futures Collegiate League.
Mansfield's Rhett Wiseman, who played as a freshman at Vanderbilt University, is in the outfield for the Kettleers. He made his debut in left field, getting two walks and an RBI, while making an outstanding catch to prevent a run.
