Wrentham selectmen work on setting goals for town administrator.

The Wrentham Board of Selectmen discussed the goals and objectives for Town Administrator William Ketcham at Tuesday night's meeting.

Ketcham provided the selectmen with a list of potential goals.

"You resisted the temptation to get overloaded by doing everything in the world," he said.

Carroll asked if Ketcham had suggested completion dates. Ketcham said he did not, but would provide estimates for goals the selectmen prioritize.

Board Chairman Joseph Botaish said some of the goals have natural completion dates.

"Some of these are budget-related, and we'd want to implement them for budget season," he said. "There's also strategic revenue planning — there's a little time on that one."

Carroll said it would be easy to lose sight of long-term goals in the day-to-day activity of the town.

"If the board were to approve these, I would ask Mr. Ketcham to come back with milestones or quarterly reports," he said.

Botaish said he felt the reports should be regular, suggesting Ketcham integrate them into his town administrator reports.
