Wrentham Selectmen Notes: Common St Road Project, Wastewater Treatment
Matters discussed at the Wrentham Board of Selectmen meeting.

The following matters were raised during Tuesday night's Board of Selectmen meeting in Wrentham:
Town Administrator William Ketcham said bids had been opened for a Common Street resurfacing project.
"[The project] will use Chapter 9 funds from this year, so we don't have to wait," he said. "There were seven bids, and the low bid was $74,495 by John J Amara & Sons."

Board members asked if the firm was qualified, and Ketcham told them that all the bidders were prequalified by the state department of transportation.
Ketcham also discussed work on the town's wastewater treatment system, which serves the town hall, public safety building and elementary schools. He said the lowest bid was much lower than the original estimate received.

Ketcham said the search for a new superintendent of public works is ongoing.
"The search committee held its first meeting on April 24, and Michelle Rouse was elected chairwoman," he said. "Five candidates were selected for interviews."
According to Ketcham, the interviews will take place on May 8.
