Wrentham Students Can Apply For Premium Outlets Scholarship

High school seniors in Wrentham looking to go to college after graduation are eligible to apply for a $1,500 scholarship.

BRAINTREE, MA β€” Are you looking for a little help paying for college? High school seniors in Wrentham looking to go to a university, vocational or technical school after graduation are eligible to apply for a $1,500 scholarship from Simon, the company that owns the Wrentham Premium Outlets.

The scholarship program is part of a larger initiative called Simon Supports Education. Students can apply for the scholarship at the foundation's website. The deadline to apply is Feb. 19. In addition to the community scholarships, 11 Boston regional awards called "Awards of Excellence" will go to top candidates. Students that win regional awards could receive a $10,000 scholarship.

In 2019, the foundation awarded more than $1.6 million in scholarships to more than 407 graduating seniors across the country.

"At Simon Youth Foundation, we are committed to helping students graduate and pursue their dreams through education," Foundation President Michael Durnil said. "We strongly believe that cost should not prevent students from furthering their education."

Customers that want to support the scholarships can also buy Simon Youth Foundation Visa gift cards. One dollar from every purchase made on the gift card goes directly towards scholarships. Shoppers can also donate the balance of the gift card to the foundation.
