11 MI Beaches Closed Due To High Bacteria Levels: Here's The List

MICHIGAN — Multiple beaches were closed Friday because of high bacteria levels, according to the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy.

The closures come after multiple rounds of stormy weather earlier this week across Michigan.

Here are the beaches that were closed as of Friday afternoon:

• Saginaw Bay-Lake Huron - Singing Bridge Beach, Arenac
• Lake St. Clair - St. Clair Shores Memorial Park Beach, Macomb
• Sugden Lake - Oakridge Subdivision, Oakland
• Dumont Lake - Dumont Lake County Park Beach, Allegan
• Thornapple River - Tyden Park, Barry
• Gun Lake - Yankee Springs Recreation Area Campground Beach, Barry
• Ross Lake - Beaverton City Park, Gladwin
• Lake Superior - Brimley State Park, Chippewa
• Houghton Lake - Lakeview Waterfront Park, Roscommon
• Crescent Lake - Crescent Lake Sub. Association, Oakland
• Cook Lake - Taylor's Beach
