14 MI Beaches Closed Due To High Bacteria Levels: Here's The List

MICHIGAN — Multiple beaches were closed Friday because of high bacteria levels, according to the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy.

The closures come after multiple rounds of stormy weather earlier this week across Michigan.

Here are the beaches that were closed as of Friday afternoon:

• Saginaw Bay-Lake Huron - Singing Bridge Beach, Arenac County
• Sugden Lake - Oakridge Subdivision, Oakland County
• Dumont Lake - Dumont Lake County Park Beach, Allegan County
• Ross Lake - Beaverton City Park, Gladwin County
• Lake Superior - Brimley State Park, Chippewa County
• Houghton Lake - Lakeview Waterfront Park, Roscommon County
• Crescent Lake - Crescent Lake Park, Oakland County
• Independence Lake - Independence Lake County Park, Washtenaw County
• Lake of the Woods - Woolfe Park, Van Buren County
• Lake Bellaire - Richards Park, Antrim County
• Lake St. Clair - St. Clair Shores Memorial Park Beach, Macomb County
• Thornapple Lake - Charlton Park, Barry County
• Big Seven Lake - Seven Lakes State Park, Oakland County
• Lake White Cloud - City of White Cloud Rotary Park, Newaygo County
