2 MI Cities Named Among Best Food Scenes, Coastal Small Towns: Report

MICHIGAN — The Great Lakes State is home to two of the best sights across the nation, with two others among the best, USA Today said last week in its 10best Readers Choice Awards 2024.

The ongoing online contests allow readers to choose the top 10 winners from a list of 20 nominees in several nationwide categories, including food, lodging and destinations. USA Today said an expert panel makes the nominations before voting occurs.

Michigan residents may recognize few of this year's victors, including two that placed No. 1 in their respective categories and two others that placed in the top 10.

Here's how Michigan fared and what USA Today had to say:

Best Public Square

Campus Martius Park, No. 1
