In 2013, film distributors announced they would no longer support traditional 35mm film projectors. In order to keep the theater up and running, theater officials replaced the old film projectors with a new digital projector and sound system.
The theater also added new comfortable seats in the center section of the auditorium.
In 2016, the theater was donated to the Presque Isle District Library, which continues to provide new and classic films, live theatre, concerts, stand-up comedy and more.
