3 MI Hospitals Picked Among Best For Equitable Access: U.S. News List

MICHIGAN — Three Michigan hospitals were picked among the best regional hospitals for equitable access, according to a new U.S. News and World report.
While the outlet is known for ranking America's top hospitals, this report is the first time they put together a list of the best hospitals serving those from disadvantaged communities.
"The Best Regional Hospitals for Equitable Access demonstrate by their example that a hospital can both excel in overall quality of care and also provide a substantial amount of that exceptional care to historically underserved communities," Chief of Health Analysis and Managing Editor at U.S. News Ben Harder said. "Recognizing community hospitals that lead in this respect is a modest but necessary step toward ensuring everyone in the U.S. has access to high-quality medical care."
