MICHIGAN — While most places in southeastern Michigan will likely only see a dusting of snow, other parts of the state can see up to a few inches by Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Light snow showers will cross southeastern Michigan throughout Monday as temperatures struggle to reach 40 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters expect only a trace of snow in most places across southeastern Michigan by Monday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Areas outside southeastern Michigan can see stronger snow showers with brief periods of reduced visibility and light accumulation on roads, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters expect 1 to 4 inches of fresh snow in western Michigan, specifically in areas around Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Ludington, according to the National Weather Service.

In northern Michigan, areas around Traverse City, Frankfurt and Manistee can see up to 3 inches of fresh snow by Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow showers will also move into the Upper Peninsula, dumping a few inches of fresh snow across the central and eastern parts of the region, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday: Cloudy; High 47, Low 31
