MI Man, 85, Fatally Shoots Wife, Daughter Before Himself: Police

MISSAUKEE COUNTY, MI — A Michigan man shot and killed his wife and daughter before turning the gun on himself Sunday, according to police.

The shooting happened at 10:50 a.m. Sunday at a home on North Wilson Road in Lake City, according to police.

Police said the 85-year-old Lake City man shot his 64-year-old-daughter and 89-year-old wife before shooting himself.

The man and daughter were shot dead, while the wife was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died, according to police.

Police did not release any other details as they continue investigating. They said there is no threat to the public.

"This incident is tragic for everyone involved," Michigan State Police Lt. Ashley Miller said. "Please keep this family and the community in your thoughts as they navigate this difficult time."
