The Social Security Administration has revealed which baby names were the most popular across Michigan in 2025.

The Social Security Administration has released the most popular baby names in Michigan in 2025, and Theodore and Charlotte top the list for boy and girl names.

The agency, which tracks the thousands of names given to babies, revealed on Monday the most popular ones nationally and for each state in 2025.

Theodore surpasses Noah, which was the top boy's name in Michigan for the past four years. Charlotte has been the most popular girl's name since 2020.

  4. Henry - 433
  5. James - 342
  6. Jack - 337
  7. Hudson - 333

Nationally, Olivia and Liam are once again America’s most popular baby names of the year. It's the seventh consecutive year that families chose to stick with both familiar names.

Parents need their child’s Social Security number to claim them as a dependent on their income tax return or open a bank account in the child’s name and buy savings bonds. A child’s Social Security number is also necessary to obtain medical coverage or apply for any kind of government services for a child.
