EDWARDSBURG, MI — An arborist was killed Monday while on the job in southwest Michigan, according to the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Officials said the 52-year-old arborist was sitting on a log when a branch from an adjacent tree fell and struck the worker in the head.
The incident is the 17th Michigan worker death of 2026 reported to the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA).
