Tidwell brings a diverse background in information technology and software development. Most recently, he served as a service desk technician at a bank in East Lansing, where he supported internal employees with technology issues related to internal and external applications, IT systems and equipment. Prior to that, he worked as a business application developer at a mortgage lender and servicer in Ann Arbor, where he designed and coded functional software programs and applications.

A Lansing resident, Tidwell holds an Electrical Engineer Equipment Systems Technician certificate from the Marine Corps Engineer School in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He previously served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2016 to 2023, achieving the rank of sergeant.

“Chris already demonstrated his value while supporting LAFCU as a contractor, and we’re excited to welcome him as a permanent member of our team,” said Emily Jannereth, chief technology officer at LAFCU. “He brings a strong blend of technical skill, real-world experience and a service-focused mindset that aligns well with our mission. We look forward to the contributions he will make in supporting our staff and members.”
