Gas Prices Fall 11 Cents Across MI: AAA

Michigan drivers paid an average of $54 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline​, according to AAA​.​

MICHIGAN — Gas prices dropped 11 cents over the past week across Michigan, according to AAA.

The average price for a regular gallon of gas Monday was $3.59, which is still four cents higher than this time last month and 19 cents more than a year ago, according to AAA.

"Michigan motorists are seeing some relief at the pump as the state average drops 11 cents from a week ago," said Adrienne Woodland, AAA's spokesperson, in the release. "Tepid demand, increasing supply, and falling oil prices could push pump prices lower."

Gas prices in the metro Detroit area also fell Monday morning, dropping to $3.58 for a regular gallon of gas, six cents cheaper than last week, according to AAA.

The most expensive places to gas across Michigan were in Jackson ($3.74), Ann Arbor ($3.66) and Lansing ($3.64), according to AAA.

The cheapest places to get gas across Michigan were in Traverse City ($3.53), Benton Harbor ($3.55) and Marquette ($3.57), according to AAA.
