4-Year-Old, 2 Men Killed In Wrong-Way MI Crash On I-94: Police
Michigan State Police said the crash happened early Monday morning on Interstate 94 in Calhoun County.
MARENGO TOWNSHIP, MI — A young girl and two men were killed in a Monday morning crash involving a wrong-way driver on Interstate 94 in Calhoun County, Michigan State Police said.
Troopers said a Ford pickup truck was driving east in the westbound lanes on the freeway near 22 1/2 Mile Road in Marengo Township when it collided head on with a minivan at 12:30 a.m.
The pickup truck driver, a 42-year-old man from Massachusetts was killed in the crash, police said. Police do not know if he was wearing a seatbelt.

The 46-year-old Indiana man driving the minivan and a passenger, a 4-year-old girl, were also killed in the crash, police said.
Another adult and three other children in the minivan were taken to nearby hospitals with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening, police said.

Police said the minivan's driver and the other adult in the vehicle wore seatbelts, but the children were not in safety seats or wearing seat belts.
Officials did not release the victims' names. Police do not know if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
Marengo Township is between Albion and Marshall, near Battle Creek, roughly 100 miles west of Detroit.
