Hail, Downpours, Damaging Winds Likely Wednesday: MI Weather
Wednesday's storms are expected after severe weather rolled into the southeastern Michigan late Tuesday.
SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Strong thunderstorms are expected to hit areas across southeastern Michigan for a third straight day Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The storms are expected to move into the southeastern Michigan region along a cool front sometime during the afternoon hours Wednesday, according to the weather service.
Forecasters warned the storms can be strong and produce heavy downpours, large hail and damaging winds reaching up to 40 miles per hour, according to the weather service.

Wednesday's storms are expected after severe weather rolled into the southeastern Michigan late Tuesday, flooding roadways, uprooting trees and knocking out power to more than 10,000 DTE customers in the metro Detroit area. Roughly 3,000 people were still in the dark Wednesday morning, according to the utility.
The storms should move out of southeastern Michigan by Wednesday night as dry weather returns to the region, according to the weather service.

High temperatures across southeastern Michigan will hover in the low 80s under sunny skies on Thursday and Friday, before gradually making their way back toward 90 degrees early next week, according to the weather service.
Storm chances will also return to the southeastern Michigan region early next week, according to the weather service.
