A new report shows where Michiganders are relocating in the state.

MovingPlace released its latest monthly report, which shows America's most in-demand ZIP codes.

The group worked with Porch Group to track where Americans are relocating and identify emerging patterns in communities nationwide.

The September report analyzed nearly 900,000 August moves to identify the hot areas, including:

• Move volume per capita: the number of moves with a destination in the ZIP code per 1,000 people.
• Total move volume: the absolute number of moves with a destination in the ZIP code.
• Biggest month-over-month increases: ZIP codes with the largest jumps in moving activity compared to the previous month.

The hottest ZIP code in Michigan is 48933, which is located in Downtown Lansing and serves as the central hub for government, business and urban living, according to the report.

Here are the ten hottest zip codes in the state, according to the report:

1. 48933 - Lansing - 7.46 moves per capita
2. 48105 - Ann Arbor - 6.49 moves per capita
3. 49007 - Kalamzaoo - 5.85 moves per capita
4. 49503 - Grand Rapids - 5.62 moves per capita
5. 49346 - Standwood - 5.57 moves per capita
6. 48226 - Detroit - 5.37 moves per capita
7. 48651 - Prudenville - 5.08 moves per capita
8. 49512 - Grand Rapids - 5.04 moves per capita
9. 48189 - Whitmore Lake - 4.95 moves per capita
10. 49431 - Ludington - 4.93 moves per capita
