ROCKFORD, MI — A five-tool restaurant roughly 170 miles west of Detroit was picked as the best small town restaurant in the state.

Herman’s Boy, located in Rockford, was picked as Michigan's best small town restaurant by Taste of Home.

Herman’s Boy is best-known for its coffee, but the restaurant also features two cooking supply stores, a candy store, a deli and a bakery that serves breakfast and lunch, according to its website.

The restaurant has also been around for 120 years, according to its website.

"Herman’s Boy is a daily gathering spot for locals who like to get a hot cup of coffee and talk about the good ol’ days," Taste of Home said of the small town restaurant.
