A historic Michigan bed and breakfast is closing its doors Friday, according to the owners.
ALLEGAN, MI — A historic Michigan bed and breakfast is closing its doors Friday, according to the owners.
Jade Estate Inn, located in the heart of Allegan near Lake Michigan, is permanently closing its doors Friday, according to owners Nia and Todd Green who bought the estate in 2020.
"As we have always loved to travel, we put our heart and soul into Jade Estate Inn to truly make it an experience to remember," Nia and Todd Green said in a statement. "In recent months, the realization of time and commitment has led us to a very difficult decision. It is with a heavy heart that we share some bittersweet news."

The 1863 Italianate home is best-known for offering guests luxurious amenities with a vintage atmosphere. It also featured a wrap-around porch with five rooms and a carriage house.
"We will always treasure the moments of joy, laughter, stories, and connection that have filled the Inn," Nia and Todd Green said. "Each of you has left a mark on our lives, and we are deeply grateful for the memories we’ve created together. Thank you for being a part of our story. We hope the memories you have made here will stay with you, as they will with us."
