MICHIGAN — Huntington Bank is closing at least nine branches across Michigan, including two in the Detroit area.

The closures are part of a plan to consolidate 34 locations nationwide — about 3 percent of the bank’s network — mainly in early 2024, Ohio-based Huntington disclosed last week.

Twenty-six of the closures, including nine in Michigan, were listed in the most recent bulletin from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The bulletin named banks in Cass City, Clarkston, Lexington, Battle Creek, Belmont, Detroit, Pinconning, Saginaw and Midland among those slated to close.
