Macy’s Closing Another MI Store: Here's Where

Macy’s is planning to close 14 stores across the nation in 2026, including one in Michigan.

The Macy’s store located at 3850 Rivertown Parkway SW (RiverTown Crossings) in Grandville is expected to close sometime during the first half of 2026.

Stores are also expected to close in Georgia, Maryland, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Texas and Washington.

The closings are part of the retailer's "Bold New Chapter," which includes closing 150 underperforming stores and investing heavily in the 350 stores that will remain open.

Macy's closed 66 locations in 2025, including several in Michigan.

According to Macy's website, there are nine Macy's left in Michigan:

• Ann Arbor
• Dearborn
• Kentwood
• Novi
• Okemos
• Portage
• Saginaw
• Taylor
• Troy

The company has not said whether any of these locations will close.
