Man Could Be Charged After Threatening To Shoot Up MI College: Police

Police said the man has been known to law enforcement.

ADRIAN, MI — A man could be charged after threatening to shoot up a Michigan college on Wednesday, according to police.

Police said two people got into an argument along 110 S. Madison Street in Adrian near Adrian College at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday night.

A masked person then threatened to "shoot up the school," police said.

Officers arrived and searched the masked man, who did not have any weapons, police said.

Police said there was no threat to the public, college or surrounding businesses.

Investigators said they will submit the incident to the Lenawee County Prosecutor’s Office for possible criminal charges.

Police said the man has been known to law enforcement.
