This MI Beach Was Picked Among The Nation's Best: List
A popular travel website says you may want to skip oceanfront views and head for this Michigan spot for your next vacation.
GRAND HAVEN, MI — While you may be tempted to hit the shores of California or Hawaii for your next vacation beach spot, a popular travel website suggests you should simply make a trip to the west side of Michigan.
Travel and Leisure, a well-known destination blog, picked Grand Haven State Park, which rests along the shores of Lake Michigan as one of the 25 best beaches in the nation.
"Set on the shores of Lake Michigan, this 48-acre park with powdery white sand offers activities like fat-tire biking, barbecuing, sunbathing, swimming, and volleyball," the website writes.

The Lake Michigan beach is also well-known for offering scenic views of the lake, along with unforgettable sunsets. There's also the Grand Haven South Pier and Lighthouses.
While it may come as a surprise to many to see a Lake Michigan beach on a list of beaches that offers oceanfront views, but Michiganders know too well.
