Family members identified the girl as Estella Marie Johnson, who was found dead at a mobile home park in the 13000 block of Darcy Circle NE in Cedar Springs, officials said.
Bryant told officers the 3-year-old was running alongside his pickup truck, which was moving roughly 10 miles per hour when she suddenly ran under the vehicle and was struck, according to an MLive report, citing a police affidavit.

He told officers that Estella liked to run alongside the truck and "race" it, according to the report.
Officials described Bryant as a "father figure" to the girl, as he was engaged to the child's mother.
Investigators believe alcohol played a role in the incident for Bryant. They also said Bryant told them he’s an alcoholic who drinks half a gallon a day.
Family members created a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses.
"Estella was a bright light in their lives, and her absence is deeply felt by everyone who knew her," family members said on the page. "This unimaginable tragedy has left my friend and her family heartbroken and struggling to cope with the loss. On top of grief, they are now facing the overwhelming costs of arranging a funeral for their precious baby girl."
