MI Gas Prices Hit Lowest Price Of 2023: AAA
Drivers paid an average of $47 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline, a $29 cheaper from June 2022 when prices were the highest, AAA said.

MICHIGAN — Gas prices in Michigan hit their lowest price of 2023 Monday, according to AAA.
The average price for a gallon of gas in Michigan on Monday was $3.16, 20 cents less than a month ago and 49 cents less than a year ago, according to AAA.
Drivers paid an average of $47 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline, a $29 cheaper from June 2022 when prices were the highest, according to AAA.

"After the Thanksgiving holiday, Michigan drivers are seeing the lowest gas prices all year as the state average sets a new 2023-low," Michigan's Public Affairs Director for AAA Howard Hughey said. "If demand declines, alongside lower crude oil prices, this downward trend could continue through the week."
Gas prices in the metro Detroit area also dropped Monday, falling nine cents from last week to $3.21, according to AAA.

The new average in the metro Detroit area was also 17 cents cheaper and more than 25 cents cheaper from this time last year, according to AAA.
The most expensive places to get gas in Michigan were in Marquette ($3.31), Jackson ($3.28) and Ann Arbor ($3.23).
The least expensive places to get gas in Michigan were in Grand Rapids ($3.08), Benton Harbor ($3.10) and Flint ($3.14).
