MI Gas Prices Spike As Demand Grows: AAA
Gas prices in Michigan jumped nearly 20 cents over the past week, according to AAA.

MICHIGAN — Gas prices in Michigan jumped nearly 20 cents over the past week, according to AAA.
Michigan drivers paid an average of $3.46 for a gallon of regular gas, a 17 cent spike from last week, but 41 cents cheaper than this time last year, according to AAA.
Gas prices in metro Detroit also jumped to $3.46 for a gallon of regular gas, a 13 cent spike from last week, but 40 cents less than this time last year, according to AAA.

"Michigan motorists are seeing much higher prices at the pump compared to last week," AAA-The Auto Club Group Spokesperson Adrienne Woodland. "If demand continues to grow, alongside tightening supply, drivers are likely to see gas prices continue to rise."
Areas with the most expensive gas prices in Michigan were Lansing ($3.48), Ann Arbor ($3.47) and Flint ($3.47). The cheapest areas for gas in Michigan were Marquette ($3.35), Grand Rapids ($3.45) and Traverse City ($3.45).
