MI Gas Prices Steadily Rising Again: AAA
After trending downward for several months, gas prices in Michigan and metro Detroit are steadily rising again, according to AAA.
MICHIGAN — After trending downward for several months, gas prices in Michigan and metro Detroit are steadily rising again, according to AAA.
Average gas prices across Michigan on Monday were $3.31, a 12 cent jump from last week and three cents higher than a month ago, according to AAA.
Gas prices in the metro Detroit area also rising, jumping to $3.31 Monday, a ten cent hike from last week and 17 cents higher than a month ago, according to AAA.

"Michigan motorists continue to see higher pump prices are we move further into the new year," AAA Spokesperson Adrienne Woodland said. "As demand remains robust and stocks remain tight, drivers could continue to see pump prices increase."
The most expensive gas price averages were in Lansing ($3.34), Grand Rapids ($3.34) and Ann Arbor ($3.33). The least expensive gas price averages were in Marquette ($3.28), Traverse City ($3.30) and Benton Harbor ($3.31), according to AAA.
