MI Gas Prices Still Rising, Jumping 10 Cents From Last Week: AAA

Gas prices are still rising in Michigan, jumping another 10 cents from last week, according to AAA.

MICHIGAN — Gas prices are still rising in Michigan, jumping another 10 cents from last week, according to AAA.

The average price for a regular gallon of gas across Michigan on Monday was $3.62, 10 cents higher than last week, but still 34 cents less than this time last year, according to AAA.

"Michigan drivers are seeing higher prices at the pump compared to last week," said Adrienne Woodland, AAA's spokesperson. "If demand continues to rise, gas prices will likely follow suit."

Gas prices in the metro Detroit area also jumped nine cents from last week to $3.58 per gallon of regular gas, according to AAA.

The most expensive places in Michigan to get gas were in Marquette ($3.70), Jackson ($3.67) and Saginaw ($3.67), while the least expensive gas price averages were in Metro Detroit ($3.58), Traverse City ($3.62) and Ann Arbor ($3.64), according to AAA.
