MI Gas Prices Surpass $4 Per Gallon: AAA

Gas prices rose again across Michigan on Tuesday amid the U.S. conflict with Iran, according to AAA.

The average for a regular gallon of gas across Michigan was $4.01 Tuesday morning, according to AAA.

That's nine cents higher than yesterday and $1.10 more expensive than a month ago, according to AAA.

Prices were also up in the metro Detroit area. The average for a regular gallon of gas was $3.99, up six cents from yesterday and and $1.02 from last month, according to AAA.

The most expensive place to get gas in Michigan was in Ontonagon County at $4.16 per gallon, according to AAA.

The cheapest places to get gas were in Alpena and Huron counties at $3.87 a gallon, according to AAA.

"Pump prices across Michigan have jumped rapidly with drivers paying the highest prices since the summer of 2023," AAA spokesperson Adrienne Woodland said.
