This MI Historical Bed And Breakfast Was Picked The Best In The Nation

LUDINGTON, MI — A Northern Michigan bed and breakfast spot was ranked the best in the nation, according to a Newsweek ranking.

Cartier Mansion Bed and Breakfast in Ludington was ranked the No.1 best historical bed and breakfast in the nation.

"A beautiful example of neoclassical architecture, the inn comprises both the Mansion, with its historically rich guest rooms, and the Carriage House, which has been converted into four unique guest suites with dog-friendly accommodations, including one ADA accessible room," the magazine said of Cartier Mansion Bed and Breakfast.

The mansion was built in 1905 and features mahogany, oak, cherry and walnut floors and decorations throughout the inside. The mansion was also built with Roman pressed brick and Bedford limestone accents.

Guests are treated to a meticulously preserved dining room where they are served gourmet breakfasts that include seasonal and local ingredients.

The mansion is also equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, personalized climate control, and up-to-date entertainment options.
