MI Mall Roof Collapses Due To Heavy Snow

There were no injuries, according to reports.

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI — The roof of a northern Michigan mall collapsed due to heavy snow, significantly damaging one building earlier this week, WLUC reports.

Bargain Barn, located at Westwood Mall in Marquette, posted photos to Facebook showing a partially collapsed roof with debris and snow scattered in the store.

The store also said other businesses at the mall were damaged, "not totaled," and were not able to open.

"Unfortunately, the Westwood Mall’s roof collapsed on the evening of February 24th, completely burying James and Autumn’s entire store. Everything they worked so hard for is gone and buried under the snow," the page reads.
