MI Man Arrested After Abandoning Baby In Stroller Alone On Trail: Report
The incident happened as wildfire smoke from Canada began pouring into the area, according to the report.
TRAVERSE CITY, MI — A northern Michigan man is facing charges after he left a 9-month-old in a stroller alone on a trail as wildfire smoke poured into the region Wednesday, WPBN/WGTU reports.
Police said the 33-year-old Suttons Bay man got into an argument with a 27-year-old Traverse City woman before he took the baby out onto Boardman Lake Loop Trail near 10th Street in Traverse City, the news station reported.
Officers later found the man asleep, while police said the baby was alone in the stroller along the trail. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree child abuse, the news station reported.
