A Bay County man is feeling like royalty after he won a $1 million on a scratch-off ticket, according to the Michigan Lottery.
BAY COUNTY, MI — A Bay County man is feeling like royalty after he won a $1 million on a scratch-off ticket, according to the Michigan Lottery.
The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought his winning Michigan Lottery’s Cash is Queen ticket at Jack’s Fruit Market, located at 1000 Salzburg Avenue in Bay City, according to the Michigan Lottery.
"I had been to Jack’s earlier in the day and bought a couple of tickets," said the 58-year-old player. "I had to return an item later in the day, and decided to buy a couple more tickets and one of those was the $1 million winner!"

He chose to receive his prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $693,000, rather than annuity payments for the full amount, according to the Michigan Lottery.
With his winnings, he plans to pay off his house and then save the remainder, according to the Michigan Lottery.
