MI, Metro Detroit Gas Prices Continue Rising, Sets More Records: AAA
Drivers across the state paid around $65 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline, according to AAA.
MICHIGAN — Michigan's gas prices continue rising, as drivers across the state paid $4.38 for a gallon of regular gas, according to AAA. The new statewide average jumped six cents from a week ago, setting another record high.
Regular gas prices in metro Detroit were even higher at $4.45, an average that jumped 14 cents from just last week, according to AAA. Oakland County's average price for a gallon of gas was $4.45, while Wayne County was $4.44 and MaComb County at $4.42.

"Despite the slight decrease in demand, Michigan gas prices continue to increase, setting a new record high," AAA spokesperson Adrienne Woodland said. "Pump prices will likely face upward pressure if gasoline stocks continue to decrease and oil prices remain above $105 per barrel."
Some of the most expensive areas across the state for gas were in Marquette ($4.49), Metro Detroit ($4.44) and Ann Arbor ($4.41). Some of the least expensive areas for gas were in Traverse City ($4.21), Saginaw ($4.31) and Grand Rapids ($4.32), according to AAA.
